What compliance does SELMA support for Australian RTOs?

SELMA supports AVETMISS reporting (NAT file generation and NCVER submission), USI verification via the USI Registry System, training.gov.au course imports, CRICOS international student compliance, and TCSI higher education reporting.

Does SELMA charge per user?

No. SELMA uses a single subscription model with no per-user licensing fees. Your entire RTO team is covered under one plan regardless of how many staff members you have.

Which state funding programmes does SELMA support?

SELMA supports all Australian state and territory government funding contracts including Victoria's Skills First, Queensland's Certificate 3 Guarantee, NSW Smart and Skilled, WA Jobs and Skills WA, SA Skills and Training, and programmes across ACT, TAS, and NT.

Can SELMA replace our current RTO management system?

Yes. SELMA includes full data migration support from all major RTO management systems including AVETMISS-only tools, spreadsheets, and custom in-house systems.

Is SELMA priced in Australian dollars?

Yes. All AU plans are priced in AUD, starting from $99/month, and scale with your enrolment volume.

Is our data stored in Australia?

Yes. SELMA stores all Australian customer data within Australia on AWS infrastructure, meeting local data residency requirements.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most RTOs are fully onboarded within 4 to 6 weeks including data migration, configuration, and staff training.

Does SELMA integrate with training.gov.au and the USI Registry?

Yes. SELMA connects directly to training.gov.au for course and qualification imports, and to the USI Registry System for real-time USI verification, so students can't be enrolled without a valid, verified USI.

Can SELMA manage CRICOS and international student compliance?

Yes. SELMA includes purpose-built CRICOS functionality for RTOs delivering to international students, covering visa condition tracking, Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) management, agent commission, and the reporting obligations that come with CRICOS registration.

Does SELMA support apprenticeships, traineeships, and employer-based training?

Yes. SELMA includes dedicated work-based training functionality, with employer portals, training plan management, block course scheduling, and AVETMISS compliance built in, designed specifically for apprenticeship and traineeship delivery.

Does SELMA support RTOs that also deliver CPD, short courses, or licensing training?

Yes. If your RTO runs fee-for-service short courses, first aid training, or licensing programmes alongside your core qualifications, SELMA supports a branded shopfront, online payments, event scheduling, and the relevant AVETMISS fee-for-service reporting, all in the same platform as your accredited training.

Can multi-campus or multi-state RTOs run everything from one SELMA instance?

Yes. SELMA is built to handle multiple campuses, multiple states, and multiple training packages within a single instance, with reporting that can be filtered by campus, state, or business unit as needed.

How does SELMA handle an ASQA audit or urgent compliance finding?

SELMA's built-in validation is designed to catch compliance issues, like incomplete USIs, missing AVETMISS fields, or overdue assessments, before they surface in an audit. If a finding does come up, our team can help you pull the relevant records and reports quickly to respond within ASQA's timeframes.
